About me
Hello, and welcome. I’m Jacqui, a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist with over twenty years of professional practice experience, dedicated to helping individuals explore emotional wellbeing through creative expression. Not everyone is comfortable with, or even able to communicate their feelings verbally, many feeling anxious about describing their emotional challenges. I believe that art offers a powerful and effective language for what words alone can’t always express - a path to positive healing that is both gentle and profound.
I hold a Master's degree in Art Psychotherapy, and am registered with HCPC & BAAT. I have been a University lecturer for many years where I have trained hundreds of students in professional creative arts and therapeutic practice.
I also offer numerous masters-level and CPD psychotherapy training courses, am an external examiner for other Art Therapy training courses in the UK and am on the council of The British Association of Arts Therapists (BAAT)
My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that every person holds the potential for, reflection, self-understanding and growth.

In sessions, you don’t need to be “good” at art — the focus is not on technique, but on the process and developing our therapeutic relationship. Together, we will create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world, whether through imagery, metaphor, or dialogue. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity, and self-esteem.
Outside of my therapeutic work, I’m a textile artist, musician and lifelong learner - continually inspired by the intersection of the creative arts with mental health and wellbeing. My practice is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each client’s unique story.
If you’re curious about how art therapy might support your journey, I’d be honoured to speak with you.
Why wait?
Art therapy helps process emotions for personal growth.
